Halt Belfast is a temporary street food market and community space currently at the former Europa Bus Centre.
In February 2025, planning application LA04/2025/0447/F was submitted, seeking permission for a five-year change of use to transform the former bus station into a hospitality venue featuring a food and drink market, bar, retail units, and entertainment space. The development also includes seating areas, exhibition space, cycle parking, and service infrastructure. It will host ‘Platform’, a community and innovation hub operated by Co-operation Ireland, aimed at supporting local initiatives and inclusive programming.
In May 2025, Belfast City Council approved the plans, granting temporary permission for 5 years, up to May 2030.
In June 2025, it was confirmed that Halt Belfast will officially open to the public on Tuesday 8th July 2025.
Halt opened on 8th July 2025 with the following vendors:
Block 313
Patty’s
