Located on a vacant 1.2-hectare brownfield site bounded by London Road, Lismore Street, and the rear of properties on Florida Drive and Imperial Street, the site was formerly home to the Loopbridge Weaving Mill.
In May 2022, a full planning application LA04/2022/1083/F was submitted for 115 residential units across five blocks, including 27 social homes. The approved scheme includes a mix of apartments and duplexes with private gardens, communal amenity space and parking.
The application was approved in April 2024.
As of June 2025, the site remains undeveloped and continues to be used for the annual 11th of July bonfires.
