51–53 Adelaide Street is a six-storey, Grade B2 listed former linen warehouse located within the Linen Conservation Area. The building was designed by Henry Hobart and constructed in 1903 for Fiddes, Todd & Corry Ltd.

Over the years, the building has accommodated a range of uses, including as a linen warehouse. In 1980, the upper floors were converted to office use, while the ground floor was later occupied by the Bangkok Thai restaurant and an office foyer.

In July 2025, planning application LA04/2025/1188/F was submitted seeking full permission for a change of use from restaurant and office foyer at ground floor level, with offices on the upper floors, to a café, apart-hotel lobby, and 31-unit apart-hotel across the first to fifth floors.
