Northern Lights is a bar located on the corner of Ormeau Road and Sunnyside Street. It opened in 2017 and is operated by Galway Bay Brewery. It was formerly occupied by the Red Lion Bar, which was destroyed in a Provisional IRA bombing on 2nd November 1971. The premises were subsequently rebuilt and have operated under several names, including Patsy’s Parlour Bar, McCusker’s, Jude’s and Brewbot.
