Leicester House, located at 61–63 Royal Avenue, is a five-storey commercial building occupying a prominent corner site at the junction of Royal Avenue and Lower Garfield Street. Designed by Jackson, Greenen & Down and constructed in the mid-20th century, it replaced a Victorian-era building demolished in the 1960s.
In June 2025, artist Alana McDowell began transforming the facade of Leicester House and the adjoining Hampden House with a large-scale mural titled “OUR CITY”.
