Hampden House, located at 55–59 Royal Avenue, is a five storey commercial building designed by Robinson McIlwaine Architects and completed in 1968. It adjoins Leicester House, which occupies the corner with Lower Garfield Street, and wraps around to front a short section of Lower Garfield Street.
In June 2025, artist Alana McDowell began transforming the facade of Hampden House and the adjoining Leicester House with a large-scale mural titled “OUR CITY”.
