Centre House, located at 69–87 Chichester Street, occupies a prominent corner site in Belfast City Centre, directly opposite Victoria Square. The building comprises five to eight storeys and was originally developed in two phases between 1976–77 and the early 1990s. The ground floor accommodates retail and hospitality units, including Granny Annies.

In June 2019, planning permission was granted LA04/2019/0582/F for the conversion of the upper floors from office to hotel use, along with elevational alterations.

A revised application LA04/2022/2216/F was submitted in January 2023, proposing a 146-bedroom hotel over five floors, including a set-back extension to the fifth floor to provide 17 additional rooms. The scheme retains the existing structure while reconfiguring the Chichester Street and Victoria Street elevations. Planning approval was granted in December 2023.

In March 2025, it was confirmed that the hotel will operate under the Tempo by Hilton brand, marking its European debut.
