18–19 Donegall Square East is a prominent pair of Grade B1 listed Georgian townhouses overlooking Belfast City Hall. Built around 1830, the buildings were originally private residences before later office use.
They are currently being redeveloped by the Clover Group, with Margot relocating from the basement to the restored ground floor and a new late bar and club, Rudi, set to occupy the renovated basement.
The project is conservation-led, with restoration of original sash windows, plasterwork, joinery, and fireplaces. These works retain key architectural features while modernising access and layout.
Margot and Rudi opened on 10th July 2025 in the refurbished Georgian townhouses.
